Dr. L. Wayne Bateman
Dr. Bateman graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic
College in 1979, after which he practiced solo until 1990 when his good
friend Dr. Albert Gatrost joined him. He has completed over 500
hours of training in the American Chiropractic Association's Diplomat
of Clinical Neurology. Dr. Bateman is a member of the Missouri
State Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Albert L. Gatrost
Dr. Al Gatrost is a long time partner of Bateman-Gatrost
Chiropractic. He has a Masters of Science Degree from Central
Missouri State University. In 1990, Dr. Gatrost graduated from
Cleveland Chiropractic College and joined Dr. Bateman in the
practice. He is board certified in Acupuncture and Meridian
Therapy. He has taken over 500 hours of the American Chiropractic
Association's Diplomat of Clinical Neurology and completed a
Postdoctoral program in Chiropractic Neurology. Dr. Gatrost is
advanced proficiency rated in Activator Methods and he is ACI Board
Certified in Auriculotherapy. In addition to his chiropractic
care he also started and runs New Day Stop Smoking Clinic, in which he
incorporates both Auriculotherapy and Neurological Remodeling.
Dr. Gatrost is married with three wonderful children and is an ordained
minister in the Restoration Church.

Dr. Carlos A. Bateman
Dr. Carlos Bateman joined the practice in 2000
after
graduation from
Cleveland Chiropractic College. He graduated from Missouri
Western State College with a Bachelors of Science degree Magnum Cum
Laude in 1997 and was awarded, the John R. Yancey award for outstanding
achievement. Dr. Bateman became a shareholder in 2002. He
is board certified in Meridian Therapy, has
completed 297 hours in Clinical Neurology, and is studying
phytology. Dr. Bateman oversees Bateman-Gatrost's nutritional and
diet programs. He uses his knowledge of herbs, vitamins, and
minerals to provide a unique approach to health. Dr. Bateman is a
member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Missouri State
Chiropractic Association. |

Betty A. Kunkel LMT, NCTMB
Licensed Massage Therapist
Betty is a 2006 graduate of Kansas City’s Massage Therapy Training Institute and holds certificates in both the 600 hour Massage Therapy and 350 hour Energy Practitioner Programs.
She is licensed by the Missouri State Board of Massage Therapists and the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Grounded in basic Swedish massage, Betty integrates various modalities into her bodywork, including Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue massage, Reiki, Energy Balancing and Reflexology. Since joining Bateman-Gatrost Chiropractic in September, 2006 she became certified in Pregnancy Massage. Betty is passionate about what she does and enjoys working with the BGC team, offering massage therapy as an effective compliment to chiropractic care.
